Your wedding reception will be a wonderful event! Beautiful décor, delicious cuisine, festive entertainment; there are certainly many details that will create your celebration to be one of a kind.

However, there is one detail that you will want to plan to perfection, and that would be your seating your chart.

Your wedding guests will want to be pleased with their seats! That’s why, here at The Estates at Pecan Park, as a Houston wedding venue, we have gathered some tips to assist you with seating guests at your own wedding reception. Be sure to continue reading to discover what these tips are:

  • Singles. You will most likely have an array of single guests attending your wedding. However, you shouldn’t seat them all at one table, as this could have them feeling incredibly awkward. Instead, place a couple single guests at each table, and play match-maker if the opportunity arises.

  • Newlyweds. This is you and your partner’s big day. Therefore, you should be highlighted within your wedding reception! By sitting at your own sweetheart table, you will be the center of attention. However, if you would rather sit with others, you should do so with your bridal party. Either way, it would be best for your bridal party to sit together.

  • Children. If you are having kids attend your wedding, consider creating a table just for them! You can comprise it with games, coloring books and crayons, and even glow sticks, as a wonderful way to keep them entertained.

With a properly planned seating chart, you can ensure that your guests will enjoy your wedding reception! These are just a few tips to assist you with planning yours.
